Preparation Tips for CA September/November 2026
You have approximately 3–4 months from today (May 2026) to prepare for these exams. Here is how to make the most of it:
File Your Exam Form First
Forms open 6 July. File on Day 1 — don't wait. Exam city and group selection is critical; the correction window (23–25 July) gives only 3 days to fix it.
ICAI Material is the Bible
All three levels — especially Foundation and Audit — are heavily based on ICAI Study Material, RTPs, and MTPs. Cover these before any coaching notes.
Solve Last 4 RTPs & MTPs
The last 4 RTPs and all MTPs from ICAI directly predict exam questions. Solve them completely at least 4–6 weeks before the exam.
Remember Negative Marking Rules
Foundation Papers 3 & 4: 0.25 negative per wrong MCQ. Inter & Final MCQs also carry 25% negative marking. Never guess blindly — eliminate options strategically.
Train for 2 PM Performance
All exams are at 2 PM. Shift your peak study and mock test practice to the afternoon slot so your brain peaks at exam time — not at night.
Group-Wise Strategy for Inter & Final
If appearing for both groups, ensure you don't neglect Group II while focusing on Group I papers. Paper 6 (IBS) is 4 hours — practise time management separately for it.
